I am Alex’s (CFO) assistant and all around office manager. I help him with all of the company organization, from important documents, to managing the office, to human resources, labor protection, medical resources, and contracts management. I am involved with a lot of aspects of keeping the company running smoothly. 

When did you first start working at smrtPhone?

September 2019

What’s your background? 

I graduated from an economic high school in my hometown and then attended university in Brasov with a focus on Finance and Accounting.  After graduating, I worked in finance for a factory in my hometown, but my dream was always to work in a bank. 

After three years at the factory, the dream came true and I got a job at a bank as a loan officer. I worked there for about 14 years. By the end of my time there, I felt like there was no more room for growth. There wasn’t any greater satisfaction to achieve, so I decided to change jobs. 

I put my resume out on the internet and it was just my luck that Alex called. It was only a few weeks after I decided to leave the bank. I had many people give me the feedback that after so many years my only opportunities would be at other banks, but I wanted something different. I was open minded to any kind of work. 

It is very important to me to be professional in everything I do. I’m a perfectionist. I want to do great work. “Almost there” is not good enough. 

I like what I do now because I can really focus and get the work done. I don’t want to be bothered when I do my job. I like working with people but also having time to just do the work. I used to have to do a lot of sales, and I don’t want to focus on that kind of energy any more.  

Here, there are so many things that I do. It gives me the opportunity to grow and develop my horizons. That brings me great satisfaction. I’m always asking for new projects. 

I love organizing the most. I love organizing the documents, the contracts, and even events. I loved putting together the company team building, bringing in everyone from all over the world. 

I am a patient and responsible woman. I think this is a top quality for people in this field. And I’m also stubborn and determined. I have high standards. I want things to be the way I want them. 

On a personal side, I am 44 years old and very happily married. We have two kids, two boys. They are my total sunshine. One is 13 years old and the other is 8 years old.

What was your first job? 

The factory was my very first job. 

What do you like about working for smrtPhone? 

I love my job and what I do here. I like helping people. What I like most about smrtPhone is the human part of this organization. It’s not just about learning a lot of stuff. They are here for you, whatever you need. They give you the opportunity to grow and do what you like. You can express yourself, say your opinion. Doesn’t matter if [your opinion] is right or not, but they always listen to you. 

It’s a big and lovely family. When I came here, I felt at home. It’s a great feeling.

Describe smrtPhone in 3 words: 

Hmm. Let me find the most spectacular words to describe it.

Growth: This is a place where you can grow and develop your knowledge and vision about how things can happen and be better. You improve your skills and your personal qualities. 

Exciting: I love doing all of this new stuff. It’s something that I do with much enthusiasm. There are lots of new opportunities and I love doing new things. It leads to my growth. 

The Best: This job is the best thing that ever happened to me. 

Is there a particular moment/project at smrtPhone that stands out and makes you feel proud?  

I loved organizing the documents for smrtPhone. There was so much to go through and systematize. Lots of contracts between people, vendors, clients, and companies. It wasn’t necessarily hard work but it was a huge project that was very complex. I was proud to get it all in order. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to make sure everything is as it should be.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to spend time with my family. We love taking trips together, visiting new places. We want to see as many places as we can, within the country and also in foreign countries as well, to discover new people, new opportunities, and new cultures. We love experiencing all of this. Both my husband and I work, but when we have time, we are always together and with our boys. And our larger family too, including my mom, my dad, and my brother. We spend a lot of time with family and take trips together. We love to travel!

Name something that is on your “bucket list”

My biggest wish is to see as many countries as I can with my family. We have a goal to see three foreign countries each year. We just got back from Paris for a city break and have a trip planned to Majorca, Spain coming up. We are hoping to get to Portugal in the fall.

Another my major goal is to be in this company as much as I can and grow to be able to do anything that is required. I want to be a part of the success of the company. To improve myself so I can help improve smrtPhone.

What is a fun fact people might not know about you? 

I am a fun person, but not at work. At work, I am very serious. I need to focus on my duties. 

Outside of work, I like singing. I love karaoke. I like telling jokes. Hanging with my friends and having dinner and relaxing. 

I’m not sure I have a single favorite karaoke song, but I love old music. I love to do karaoke with my brother. We’re a perfect duo! I really love listening to music and dancing. It helps me relax and spend quality time with my friends.

I am a fulfilled mother and a happy wife with a job that I love.
